More Valentine Cards

Good Morning!  We woke up this morning to "painted trees", at least that's what I think of when I see ice crystals like this on the tree/shrub branches.  I think it is lovely when this happens.  It looks like a fairy tale land.

Here is the first card I'd like to share today.  I made the white heart strip with a stamp from the Love You Much set, randomly stamping the images.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the little heart is from the Love You Much set (it is above the two bird's heads - see next card).  The scallop oval was punched from Pixie Pink.  The card base is Kraft card stock, and I used the scallop punch on the right edge.  I adhered a narrow piece of Pixie Pink card stock along that edge for contrast.  The white accents were had drawn using the white gel pen.  Ink color is Pixie Pink.

This second card uses Melon Mamo and Pretty in Pink card stock.  The ink is Melon Mambo.  I like these two colors together, and will be sad when Melon Mambo retires.  The bird image is from the Love You Much stamp set, the sentiment is from a hostess set - The More the Merrier.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  Hope that you have a wonderful day.  Because of conferences, there is no school for me today.  I hope to get caught up on a few things here around the house, and then move on to some stamping!

Top Note Valentine Card

This is a fun valentine card that was super simple to make.  I stamped the heart from SU Love You Much onto Rose Red cardstock using Rose Red ink.  I then made stitch marks and highlighted the dots with the white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I cut the Top Note die from Kraft Cardstock.  I cut a second Top Note from Rose Red designer paper, and cut it in half. I then trimmed along the "stitch lines" on the Rose Red piece and adhered to the left half of the Top Note. I saved the trimming and adhered it on the other half of the Kraft card stock.  Kind of a fun look, I think.

Exploding Hearts

This card is a fun one, that I had considered for a workshop.  All products are Stampin' Up!  The card base, ribbon and ink are Melon Mambo (an in-color that I love!).  The large heart is from the I {heart} hearts stamp set.  The envelope is a die cut, run through my Big Shot.  The sparkly hearts were fun to make.  I used some pink card stock (I think it was Regal Rose) and laid down about 2-3 rows of Tombow adhesive.  I then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds over the adhesive and tapped off the extra.  I used the new heart punch in the Occasions Mini, and then punched the hearts out.  I love the way they sparkle!!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  Blessings to you!

Valentine Cards

If you had attended my Valentine Card workshop last week, these are the cards you would have made.

This first card has already been posted on my blog here.
This second card uses Sending Love Specialty paper from the Occasions Mini catalog.  I used the new Embosslits Scalloped Heart die and inked the edges.  I then punched a heart and added it on top.  I like the way the ruffle edges peek out from the edge.  The love sentiment is from the tiny tags set.

This card was a fun bonus participants had a chance to make.  The Build A Bear was cut with the embosslits die and sentiment was from the Beary Nice Wishes stamp set.  This card is a 3 by 3 inch size.

I love the look of this next card.  I was considering ways to use my wood background stamp.  It all of a sudden popped into my head to use hearts on top of it, and make it look like a tree with carved hearts on the trunk.

The final card was based on a card that I had seen on some blog (I'm sorry that I don't remember where).  I used the dotted impressions folder for the white background and the new scallop border punch.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today. Hope that you enjoyed the cards. Blessings to you!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 100

I enjoy visiting the Techno Stamper blog for ideas and inspiration.  Mary Jo sponsors a challenge each week and I haven't had a chance to participate before.  This card is for this week's sketch challenge.  I played with the some of the new Sending Love designer paper in the Stampin' Up! new occasions mini catalog.  The stamped heart is from the SU set Love You Much and sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I used the modern label punch as the background for the sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by for a visit today.  Blessings to you.
